Antonio Ferrera Engages with Cormanizales Bullfighting School in Colombia

Ferrera offered motivational words and valuable technical advice, followed by a practical bullfighting lesson. The students, attentive and eager, were inspired by one of Manizales’ most beloved bullfighters, who emphasized the importance of values like camaraderie and humility in the journey to becoming a matador. Ernesto Javier “Calita” Triumphs in Tepeapulco with Two Ears

At the bullfighting fair held today at the Monumental “San Marcos” in Tepeapulco, Ernesto Javier “Calita” emerged as the grand winner, cutting two ears from the second bull of his lot—the only San Isidro bull that allowed for an artistic performance. The evening began with Diego Louceiro, who showcased composure and skill with a well-presented bull from Las Huertas. Louceiro delivered a varied performance, excelling in the placement of banderillas, and concluded with two stabs and a killing blow. He shared a victory lap with Fernando Ángeles from the Mexican Forcados, who successfully executed a brave tackle on the first attempt. Calita, after a lackluster first bull, displayed patience and mastery with the fourth bull, delivering a long, well-structured performance that culminated in a remarkable killing blow, earning two ears. Meanwhile, Juan Pablo Sánchez faced a lot lacking in bravery and effort, showcasing determination but achieving no significant artistic results. Event Highlights: Venue: Monumental “San Marcos” Bullring, Tepeapulco. Bulls: 1 from Las Huertas (good, for rejones); 4 from San Isidro (low performance, except for the 4th, which was noble). Results: Diego Louceiro: Victory lap. Ernesto Javier “Calita”: Silence after two warnings and two ears. Juan Pablo Sánchez: Silence after a warning and silence. Incidents: Brave tackle by Fernando Ángeles from the Mexican Forcados group. Galería
