sevillano Plaza México

Little is better than nothing

The expectation for the confirmation of the Sevillian Juan Ortega in the Plaza Mexico left a bitter taste in the fans, although his class and art left unforgettable moments, the little breed of cattle embittered an afternoon that came to less.   There was little to say about the two bulls, Montecristo and Pozo Hondo, the first with two that gave if anything a little more mobility but as a whole, without presence, strength and caste.   Juan Ortega confirmed his alternative with the bull “Sevillano” number 70 and of 482 kilos of the Montecristo iron, the saludo capotero with Veronicas, the made up faena had artistic tandas, one by natural slow and heartfelt that was felt in the tendidos; the sword was well placed but the bull did not fall and had to descabellar. He went around the ring at the request of a sector of the bullring.   With the second bull there were no options, some attempts to build a faena that without raw material he did not succeed. Silence.   Juan Pablo Sanchez made a great performance with the fourth of the afternoon after having crashed with an invalid second bull that was thrown in the middle due to the lack of strength. The fourth of the afternoon named “Colorin Colorado” of Montecristo was tempered and fought long with short tandas taking care of the little strength he had. The lunge was the highlight of the fight, in full force and with almost immediate effect. Juan Pablo cut off the only ear of the afternoon, an ear that was hard earned and that tasted like a big door.   Diego Silveti, although he had no material to develop in the ring, could not be seen with his lot, the first jumped into the alley and was hurt in the hind quarters and was returned to pens, the third bis, high and more serious, could not bring it to a good end, the second of his lot was whistled from start to finish.   Juan Pablo Sanchez: Silence and ear Diego Silveti: Silence in his lot. Juan Ortega: Silence and Silence.
