The First Capea at the Rodolfo Rodríguez “El Pana” Arena in Apizaco was held under the current municipal administration. The event featured 2 tested cows and 3 bulls from La Gasca Ranch, which performed well, went to the horse, and impressed the crowd. The standout was a brown-and-white cow. For the apprentices: Miguel Piedras “El Piedras”: Ovation. Guillermo Veloz “Pausao II”: Ovation. And the matadors: José María Macías: Ovation. Emilio Macías: Ear. Sebastián Palomo: Ear. The novillero Manolo González cut two ears the night of this Friday at the second Novillada of the Season at the Plaza de Toros La Luz in León, Guanajuato, becoming the first novillero to exit on shoulders in this series. Juan Querencia stood out for his effort and took a vuelta al ruedo after facing the second bull of his lot.     Bulls from El Garambullo were fought, showing varied presence and performance, with the third bull receiving a slow drag.     Juan Querencia: Silence and vuelta. Cayetano Rivera announces his farewell to the bullring in 2025

Cayetano Rivera Ordóñez has announced his farewell to the bullring for the upcoming season, coinciding with the centenary of his great-grandfather Cayetano Ordóñez, who began this bullfighting dynasty. It also marks the twentieth anniversary of his alternative.     This emotional announcement was made by Cayetano Rivera through his social media, with a message titled “Último baile” (Last Dance), accompanied by a video in which he declares: “Next year is very special for me. It marks 100 years since my great-grandfather Cayetano Ordóñez began our bullfighting dynasty. In the video, I mention that it is time to say goodbye. ‘Not everything has been beautiful, but during this time, I’ve tried to transmit qualities that my profession reflects, such as courage, effort, discipline, and solidarity…’”     Cayetano Rivera continues: “And I wanted to share this news with you so we can live together, with even more emotion if possible, what is undoubtedly the most important season of my life. And above all, I want to thank you. Thank you for your support and for your love.” Cayetano Rivera will turn 48 on January 13 and celebrates 20 years since his debut as a novillero on March 26, 2005.
