La tarde de este jueves, la plaza de toros de Moroleón, Guanajuato, lució un lleno total para la primera corrida de feria, donde el joven torero Diego San Román se consagró como el gran triunfador al cortar dos orejas y salir a hombros. El cartel lo completaron el francés Sebastián Castella, quien no corrió con suerte y se fue en silencio tras sus tres toros, y el guanajuatense Diego Silveti, quien logró cortar un apéndice en su segundo toro y fue ovacionado en su primero. Se lidiaron toros de la ganadería Arroyo Zarco, bien presentados pero de juego desigual, destacando el quinto por su nobleza y calidad. During a press conference held this Monday in Salvatierra, Guanajuato, the Virgin of Candelaria Fair 2025 was officially announced. This event celebrates the 381st anniversary of Salvatierra’s founding, a city located in the Valle de Guatzindeo and designated as a “Magic Town” since 2012. The traditional Candelaria Bullfight will take place on Sunday, February 2, at 4:00 PM in the iconic “La Macarena” Bullring. The lineup features three prominent matadors: José Mauricio Sergio Flores Francisco Martínez   These bullfighters will face bulls from the renowned Xalmonto Livestock, identified by its sky-blue and gold flag. Tickets for this major bullfighting event are priced at 400 pesos for all seating areas, promising a unique experience as part of one of the region’s most cherished celebrations.

During the final day of the Manizales Fair, renowned Spanish bullfighter Antonio Ferrera spent time with young students from the Cormanizales Bullfighting School, one of the most prominent training grounds for aspiring bullfighters in Colombia. Antonio Ferrera convive con alumnos de la escuela taurina de Cormanizales En el cierre de la Feria de Manizales, el reconocido matador español Antonio Ferrera dedicó tiempo a convivir con los jóvenes alumnos de la escuela taurina de Cormanizales, uno de los semilleros más importantes para el futuro de la tauromaquia en Colombia. Durante la jornada, Ferrera compartió palabras motivadoras y valiosos consejos técnicos, además de brindar una clase práctica de toreo de salón. Los alumnos, atentos y entusiastas, fueron alentados por uno de los toreros más queridos en Manizales, quien les transmitió la importancia de valores como el compañerismo y la humildad en el camino hacia convertirse en figuras del toreo. Mexican novice bullfighter Bruno Aloi has announced the end of his professional relationship with maestro Tomás Campuzano, who had served as his artistic director for the past two years, providing technical and artistic guidance in training and during bullfighting events. Aloi expressed his gratitude to Campuzano for his exceptional mentorship and support, both in the bullring and during training sessions. He also extended his best wishes for Campuzano’s future endeavors in the bullfighting world.     Looking ahead, his European manager Justo Jiménez is in discussions with various organizations to plan the 2025 season, while in Mexico, Mario del Olmo continues to oversee his career.

El novillero mexicano Bruno Aloi ha anunciado la conclusión de su relación profesional con el maestro Tomás Campuzano, quien durante dos años formó parte de su equipo como director artístico, acompañándolo en las plazas y brindándole asesoría técnica y artística. Aloi expresó su profundo agradecimiento al maestro Campuzano por el trato humano y profesional, así como por los valiosos consejos que recibió tanto en los entrenamientos en el campo bravo como durante sus actuaciones. These awards celebrate the skill, technique, and excellence of the key players in one of Latin America’s most prestigious bullfighting fairs.

Premios destacados: Premio Catedral (máximo triunfador): Juan de Castilla por su memorable faena al toro «Buenavida», de la ganadería De Santa Bárbara, realizada el 7 de enero. Mejor ganadería: Ernesto Gutiérrez, por la calidad de sus ejemplares. Mejor subalterno: Ricardo Santana, por su destacada actuación en las cuadrillas. The evening began with Diego Louceiro, who showcased composure and skill with a well-presented bull from Las Huertas. Louceiro delivered a varied performance, excelling in the placement of banderillas, and concluded with two stabs and a killing blow. He shared a victory lap with Fernando Ángeles from the Mexican Forcados, who successfully executed a brave tackle on the first attempt. Calita, after a lackluster first bull, displayed patience and mastery with the fourth bull, delivering a long, well-structured performance that culminated in a remarkable killing blow, earning two ears. Meanwhile, Juan Pablo Sánchez faced a lot lacking in bravery and effort, showcasing determination but achieving no significant artistic results.
